By car or train

By car, Wirksworth is approximately 30 minutes from the M1 motorway (leaving from Jn24 to Jn 29) and just under 3 hours from London.

The nearest railway stations are Cromford and Matlock Bath, both of which are about 2 miles from Wirksworth. The train from Derby takes approximately half an hour. There is also a frequent bus service between Derby and Wirksworth.
